Welcome to Willmar Middle School!

Our delivery system offers two different schedules: one for our 6th grade and another for 7th and 8th grade. We have additional time for math and communications built into our day. Our elective classes afford students the possibility to explore their talents. We offer Art, Health, Physical Education, Gateway To Technology, STEM, and Spanish. Also, we offer a comprehensive music experience for students that could include Band, Choir, and Orchestra. Students who wish to expand their musical talents can also participate in our Jazz Band, Ensemble, or our outstanding Musical (for 7th and 8th graders).

At Willmar Middle School, we are dedicated to creating a learning environment that is safe, nurturing, and fulfills the needs of our students. We have established a carefully designed program that is not just about academics, but about the holistic development of each child. We believe in giving every student opportunities to develop and grow intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically. Each week, our staff conducts Professional Learning Community meetings to address the individual needs of each student, ensuring that no one is left behind.

We have high-tech Science classrooms, new tennis/pickleball courts, and a state-of-the-art multipurpose room for school and community events. With support from our community with passing a referendum, we will be building a new gymnasium and orchestra room that will be operational for the 2025-2026 school year.

There is something for everyone at Willmar Middle School. We have many co-curricular activities and athletics, a Musical, Art Club, Math League, afterschool S.O.A.R program, and even a Breakfast Club for morning weight lifting!  If you have questions or need more information, please contact us.
