Knowledge Bowl is a school activity in which teams compete against one another to correctly answer questions about a wide range of subjects, including Science, language, literature, government, geography, music, art, etc. The middle school team is open to all 6th through 9th graders. You do not have to be a brainiac! The practices and competitions are team-based.
What are the benefits of being in Knowledge Bowl?
You get a chance to showcase what you know, develop team work strategies, be part of a group, meet new people, and have fun participating, just to name a few. Each competition begins with a written test and is followed by three rounds of oral, head-to-head, competition.
The season starts in November and runs through early February. Competitions are generally held on Saturdays (see calendar). The bus usually departs from the middle school around 7:30 a.m. and returns around 3:00 p.m. Awards are given at the end of each meet to the top three teams. Practices are held on Tuesdays after school from 2:50-4:00 p.m. in room 104 at the middle school.
Volunteer Opportunities
Parents of current participants are needed to volunteer to help with our Willmar Middle School Invitational meet scheduled for December 12 to be held at Willmar High school. We could use scorers, treats and your time for other help.
